Town of Frye Island Town Meeting Warrant Saturday, July 7, 2001
To Kathy Potts, resident of the Town of Frye Island, in the County of Cumberland, State of Maine.
Greetings:
In the name of the State of Maine, you are hereby required to notify the inhabitants of the Town of Frye Island, in the County of Cumberland, qualified by law to vote in Town affairs to meet at the Frye Island Community Center on Saturday, July 7, 2001 at 9:00 a.m. to act upon the following articles.
Article 1 To choose a moderator to preside at said meeting.
Article 2 To vote by written ballot to elect a person to a three year term to the Board of Selectmen.
Article 3 To vote by written ballot to appropriate $50,000 from existing undesignated fund balance, to fund legal and associated costs relating to the withdrawal from SAD #6.
Article 4 To vote to approve the "Withdrawal Agreement: The Town of Frye Island from Maine School Administrative District No. 6", as submitted to the Maine Department of Education.
Article 5 To vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen, with concurrence from the Board of Island Trustees Executive Committee, to expend such sums of money, as they deem necessary, from the Dedicated Reserve Funds for their designated purpose. In addition, these expenditures may be reflected outside of the Town's approved budget
Article 6 To vote to authorize an overexpenditure in the Year 2000 municipal budget of $17,146.
Article 7 To vote to create the position of Town Constable to be appointed by the Selectmen with the authority to write citations for violations of local ordinances.
