Golf Course Update

The Golf Course has wintered wonderfully and is in good shape for the start of the season. Rob, Jay, Laura and Heather have been working hard this spring to provide a well-run facility. Rob has ordered new merchandise for the pro shop, and hopes you like the changes.

A revised golf policy was approved by the Golf Committee and the FII Board at the FII winter Board meeting. This will be summarized in next week's FINS.

Marina Update

We have secured the services of Jon Marcous again this year to install our marina docks. They should be in by the middle of May, give or take a couple of day. Fees for the marina are generally the same as last year:

            Yacht Club Membership           $300
            Marina Annual dues                  $200
            Seasonal rental                         $750

Another expansion of the marina is planned for this spring. Twelve more slips are being installed to accommodate those that contacted us by April 1 that wanted a renewable slip in the marina. This will bring to 22, the number of FII slips that will be for rent on a renewable basis.

Quail Circle News

Following the survey that was conducted during the winter of 2000-2001, and work that was done last summer by Tim Toomey and Dick Norden, we have made slip assignments in Quail Circle that have addressed several people on last year's waiting list. In order to do this, several people were moved over a space or two. Before placing you docks in at Quail Circle, check with the office for the proper slip assignment.

When installing your docks, we ask that all docks be centered on the survey post, and be perpendicular to the general water's edge. This will avoid some of the problems that have been experienced in years past where docks weren't parallel with each other, and we had a crowding problem.

Thank you for your cooperation.

John E. McCarthy of #28 Leisure Lane passed away on April 23, 2002. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Ruth A. McCarthy of Cambridge, MA, his son Robert McCarthy of Cambridge, MA, his son Leo McCarthy and his wife Linda of Wrentham, MA, his daughter Julianne Ashworth and her husband Dana of Casco, ME, his grandsons Lee and Logan McCarthy of Wrentham , MA. He was a retired Sergeant of the Cambridge Police Department and a WWII veteran, Retired Lt. Col. U.S.A.F. and a member of the International Chapter of V.F.W. Cards may be sent to Ruth and Bob McCarthy, 1697 Cambridge Street, Apt. #B-2, Cambridge, MA, 02138, or to Julie and Dana Ashworth, 22 Westview Way, #2, Casco, ME 04015. Donations may be made in his name to the Harvest Hills Animal Shelter of Fryeburg, ME. FINS DEADLINES

Remember, the deadline for submitting items for the weekly FINS is Wednesday at noon.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We are looking for a few good volunteers that will help publish the FINS on a weekly basis. In addition, volunteers to help coordinate our summer recreation program are needed.

Thanks.
