BASKET MAKING CLASS On Wednesday 8/21 at 6 PM there will be a basket-making class held at the Community Center. Theresa Bates will be the instructor. The cost is $12.00 paid in advance by 3:30 PM Saturday the 17th. Drop your check off in the Town Office made out to Theresa Bates. Examples of baskets are in the Town Office for viewing. There is a maximum class size of ten people, so sign up early.
FRYE ISLAND COOKBOOKS Don't be left out! The cookbooks are selling very well and our limited (and only) supply is dwindling fast. Now is the time to get your cookbooks for souvenirs, Christmas gifts, birthdays and other presents. For collectors, this is a first edition. There will not be another. F.I. Cookbooks cost $10.00 and are available at the Golf Club Lounge, Town Hall, Frye's Leap Store and at Frye Island residences of Ann Garceau (655-7471) and Marion Langevin (655-5432).
CHILDREN'S FAIR
REMEMER THE 'GOOD OLD DAYS'? WHEN WE HELD A COUNTRY FAIR AT THE OLD REC HALL?? WELL, PLANS ARE UNDERWAY FOR A CHILDRENS FAIR, THE FOURTH OF JULY 2003. IT IS BEING SPONSORED BY THE RECREATION DIVISION OF OUR NEW CONSERVATION COMMISSION. A COMMITTEE HAS BEEN FORMED AND IS HARD AT WORK TO MAKE IT A GOOD OLD FASHIONED EVENT. THE COMMITTEE WILL HAVE IT'S FIRST ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 25TH AT 1PM AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER.
