At the September 13, 2002 Board of Selectmen meeting Mr. Wayne Fournier was appointed to the position of Town Manager for
the Town of Frye Island. Wayne is a Frye Island property owner and resides off-island in the Town of Westbrook, Maine. He
is a graduate of Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, Maine and comes to us with a wealth of experience from the private
sector. Please join us in welcoming Wayne to this new position. Tuesday, September 17, 2002 was  his first day as Town
Manager. He will also serve in the position of General Manager for Frye Island Incorporated.

The Selectmen have asked Joe Potts to remain in the position of Interim Island Manager through the October, 2002 Town Meeting. He will act as an assistant to the Town Manager in order to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Public Hearing--Parking Ordinance

The second public hearing on the proposed Parking
Ordinance will be held at the next regular Board of
Selectmen meeting scheduled for Saturday, September 21st at 9 AM in the Community Center.  Feedback
received at the 8/24 public hearing will be incorporated
in the revised draft ordinance.
