Frye Island GC Hole #1 Layout and Yardage:
The first hole is a slight dog leg to the left with the tee shot facing a gradual down hill grade to the knee of the dog leg.. The fairway sand bunker on the right will catch many good drives on the right side. Between the knee and the green there is a hill that hides the green. As you walk down the fairway from the tee, you will be able to see the flag stick for a few moments. When the foursome ahead of you clears the green, they will ring a bell.

This hole is similar to most on Frye Island; it can be a real problem if you hit the ball over the green. There are fairway yardage markers indicating 100, 150 and 200 yards from the center of the green. These markers are colored pipes on both sides of the fairway in red, gold and blue, respectively.
