Frye Island ...
A Community Managed by its Owners The East Pump House
A 2007 Project
The new East Pump House was a joint Frye Island Public Works and Frye Island resident volunteer project. The Frye Island Golf Club and the Frye Island Volunteer Fire Department each contributed $5,000 from their reserve budgets toward the purchase of a larger generator that operates the golf irrigation pump, which in turn now also feeds a new hydrant on Ridge Road for filling our fire trucks during a fire emergency. The entire project came in under budget by $4358.59. Paul Osborn got us a "good deal" on the metal siding and roofing, also Islander Ralph Nannola did the electrical work and gave us a "good deal" and a great job!
