FERRY RUNS
Do not take for granted that the ferry will make a run on the
half hour to the Island. Call 655-4258 five minutes before
the scheduled run. Even if you are second or third
in line, make that call!! Or, check with the cars ahead of you.
If you are using the Island phone outside the store you must
dial 202.
REMINDER
There is a LEASH LAW!! PLEASE OBEY THIS STATE OF MAINE
LAW. Also, have a little respect for private property.
If your pet leaves droppings...pick it up.
USE OF BEACHES
This is a reminder that all beaches on Frye Island are private
property for the use of:
1) Owners
2) Renters
3) Guests of owners or renters
*Persons not in one of the above categories are subject to CITATION
and/or ARREST.
Fires are not allowed -prohibited by State Law & Town Ordinance.
$100 fine for first offense. $500 for each additional.
Trash must be placed in appropriate containers which are
provided.
No launching boats from any beaches.
Boats may not be tied off against trees. (This is very
unsafe for children running on the beach).
All boats must have a Frye Island Decal. These may be
obtained at the Town Office during office hours.
Noise must be kept at a reasonable level, keeping in mind that
there may be people on the beach or in neighboring cottages who
desire peace and quiet.
Sports that could cause injury to the general beach user are not
allowed, including, but not necessarily limited to baseball,
football, etc. Special events will be planned for off use
hours.
All motor vehicles prohibited on beaches.
In an effort to keep the beaches private and in good condition,
the Frye Island Police have been asked to patrol regularly and
aggressively. Their efforts will be supported by Island
Administration and governing boards. Therefore, the
cooperation of all concerned is
appreciated.

SECURITY REGULATIONS
Laws of the State of Maine apply to all residents of Frye
Island.
Speed Limit is 20 miles per hour.
Quiet hours are 10:30 PM to 8:00 AM. Visitors, renters and
property owners are asked to refrain from boisterous or noisy
activity during these hours.
Drunk drivers will be apprehended and ticketed.
No unauthorized boats allowed on Frye Island Beaches.
No bonfires or unauthorized burning.
No pedestrians allowed on Ferry to the Island after 9:00 PM.
Frye Island Property Owners and their families.
No fireworks allowed.
No tenting is allowed, except youngsters 12 and under can tent
next to a cottage.
WATERCRAFT SPEED
No person shall operate a watercraft at a speed greater than
headway speed while within the water safety zone or within a
marina or approved anchorage in coastal or inland waters.
"Headway speed means the minimum speed necessary to maintain
steerage and control of the watercraft while the watercraft is
moving. The "safety zone" is the area of water within 200
feet of any shoreland whether the shoreline of the mainland or
of an island. This also applies to JET SKIIS!!
TENNIS COURTS
Tennis courts are to be used for tennis only. Skateboards,
baseball or other activities are prohibited. The
basketball court at the Country Club can NOT be used for
skateboarding. The net, rim and backboard should only be
used for basketball.
FAX MACHINE USAGE
The Town Office has fax service available.. The cost is
$1.00 per page to send and receive.
RELIGIOUS WORSHIP
Non-Denominational services every Sunday at 9:00 AM in the
Community Center Chapel. See weekly FINS for more
